To
clear up questions from our proposal, CANDA is a non-profit organization where
funds will come directly from donations and fundraisers. The money raised will go directly to provide
financial assistance toward veterinarian diagnostic costs. Additional costs beyond diagnosis will not be
funded by CANDA; however, there are many other organizations which CANDA can
refer pet owners to.
As
a non-profit organization there is a limited fund to spend on marketing. The non-profit organization CANDA will be ran
with volunteers who also share the same interest of animal health. A variety of different fund raisers such as a
“Barkery Sale” where pet owners can purchase homemade animal treats, Pet Wash,
and the partnership with local pet stores where a portion of purchases made
will help contribute to the CANDA organization.
These different fund raisers will help CANDA obtain the funds to help
pet owners with the finances of their pet’s diagnosis.
The
targeted audience is veterinarians and pet owners of the Los Angeles and Orange
County area. To market this organization
we will place brochures throughout local animal practices such as pet
hospitals, grooming facilities, pet stores, and dog parks around the area. In addition, a website will be made for those
interested to find more information on the organization, a donation fund, for
those who wish to contribute, and an application form to apply for
assistance.
Those
seeking assistance will have to complete an application form where the first half
would be showing proof of financial need and the second half would be completed
by the veterinarian including an estimate of the diagnostic procedure.
