To
clear up questions from our proposal, CANDA is a non-profit organization where
funds will come directly from donations and fundraisers. The money raised will go directly to provide
financial assistance toward veterinarian diagnostic costs. Additional costs beyond diagnosis will not be
funded by CANDA; however, there are many other organizations which CANDA can
refer pet owners to.
As
a non-profit organization there is a limited fund to spend on marketing. The non-profit organization CANDA will be ran
with volunteers who also share the same interest of animal health. A variety of different fund raisers such as a
“Barkery Sale” where pet owners can purchase homemade animal treats, Pet Wash,
and the partnership with local pet stores where a portion of purchases made
will help contribute to the CANDA organization.
These different fund raisers will help CANDA obtain the funds to help
pet owners with the finances of their pet’s diagnosis.
The
targeted audience is veterinarians and pet owners of the Los Angeles and Orange
County area. To market this organization
we will place brochures throughout local animal practices such as pet
hospitals, grooming facilities, pet stores, and dog parks around the area. In addition, a website will be made for those
interested to find more information on the organization, a donation fund, for
those who wish to contribute, and an application form to apply for
assistance.
Those
seeking assistance will have to complete an application form where the first half
would be showing proof of financial need and the second half would be completed
by the veterinarian including an estimate of the diagnostic procedure.
Keeping animals safe needs organized groups which are professional for training and giving advice correctly to the owners.
ReplyDeleteThis is a perfect way getting fund for those pets who really need help on their health. The improvement of animal health can prevent various diseases affecting human as well. In addition, this event might bring up awareness of animal health.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good plan for funding which also gives details of targeted audience, service area and procedures for applying for pet's diagnosis service.I think this kind of free service will certainly get more and more people's attention by word of mouth.
ReplyDeleteThis is indeed a great plan for the needed ones! I think many people will appreciate this kind act! I think you guys should also provide brochures at universities because the population is highly dense and many students own pets as well..the words can spread.
ReplyDeleteThis information is very informative about your company! I think there are many animal people that will contribute to making your company successful! Have you considered raising funds through the use of "benefit events"?
ReplyDeleteIncluding veterinarians as part of your target market is a great idea. They can help your organization reach out to a larger audience. Your fund raising ideas are also good. There is a community feel about them. Neighbors helping out neighbors in need of assistance.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very solid plan! Pet owners and veterinarians will definitely benefit from your organization. Have you considered targeting high schools as fundraising opportunities? High schools consist of many clubs, and the students live at home, where they have pets (if they have them).
ReplyDeleteYour plan is good. It might might help and save a lot of animal life, but it is really hard to get fund from the other people. Plus your organization is brand new, not many people trust new organization.
ReplyDeleteThis is an AWESOME idea, the veterinarians will help pet owners have more confident to raise their pets. Also, donations would help a lot of poor pet owners to keep their pets around. This is a kindness behave and it will be more and more important in this time, so many people will support this organization.
ReplyDeleteVery thorough response. This was exactly my (and many other's) question for last week. Thank you for explaining that and I hope to hear for future developments!
ReplyDeleteThis is a good idea but it might be difficult to get enough funds to help those that need it because it will be expensive, but if you can secure certain companies to sponsor the company and donate it will be a success.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. This plan would get some fund for these pets. This organize would be very helpful for those needed. Would love here more for future information.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea that your organization will be ran by the the help from volunteers and the people who have the same desire to help these animals. This could also be beneficial to a lot of other clubs or organizations who like to give back to the community by doing acts of community service. My sorority is always looking for opportunities to give back to the community and this would be perfect since it will be focused in the OC area!
ReplyDeleteIn addition to donation will your company apply for federal grants or find larger companies like larger pet companies to help fund the non-profit organization? You should also reach out to the PETA organization and see how you guys could work together and possibly get them to endorse or even sponsor you since they are such a well known group.
ReplyDeleteYour funding plan seems solid. However, To reach more funds, your organization needs to build up your branding and indicate the benefits for the community. Since most of works are operated by the volunteers, your operation cost may be reduced.
ReplyDeleteI think the process of this marketing plan going through volunteers and strategy of acquiring people from pet lovers is great. In providing funds for your non-profit have you considered asking company's or outside resources to invest into your non-profit organization? It could be a helpful tool to jump start your business.
ReplyDeleteThis idea is good and helpful. I believe getting the funds will help the pet owners and their dogs a lot.
ReplyDeletei think if you can have a good plan for what you are doing. You can get a lot of fund for your project. As people love pet, they will support you organization.
ReplyDeleteWould you service all animals? Or just specific species of animals? When people think of pets they think of regular house hold pets such as dogs and cats. Would you care for reptiles and other unique pets?
ReplyDeleteThis is good because it offers some kind of safeguard from people who are in the position to take care of their own pets but take advantage of these kinds of services. You will have a lot of community support so volunteers and the like shouldn't pose much of a problem. Will there be a set staff in place that can help guide the volunteers or is this more of a charity operation?
