Through recent experiences we have found
that many pet owners cannot obtain an appropriate treatment plan for their pet
due to lack of financial ability. An ill
pet must undergo a certain process before a treatment plan can be decided; the
initial vet exam, the specific direction exam, final diagnosis, and treatment
plan. Without the second step a
diagnosis cannot be obtained; unfortunately, this is also generally the most
costly step. This results in many pets
not receiving necessary treatment.
Therefore, our group, The Fantastic 5, is creating a non-profit organization for our marketing plan. The organization will help pet owners, who are in need of financial assistance, acquire diagnosis for animal healthcare issues.

ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful idea because I know many people love to own pets but they are in need of financial support when the pet becomes ill or when emergency situation happens. From my experience, I own two male dogs, a terrier and a pekingese. One time, they got into a fight and the terrier one pulled out the other's eye. I immediately took my dog to the vet for surgical removal of the eyeball to prevent further infection. It was very costly to perform such surgery and I had to seek for loans and make payment plans to get that done. It was a financial struggle but it had to be done to save my dog. Only if i knew of a non-profit organization like this because it would make my life much easier.
ReplyDeleteBeing a non-profit organization which type of companies are you guys going to market to in order to receive monetary funds and or donations to support the organization? Will you guys be going after governmental grants or private funding? Sounds like a good idea, just would like to know how you are going to make the company grow.

I know this is just the start of your marketing plan but how would you generate revenue to get the non-profit organization up and running. Also how long do you think it would take to reach a stable flow of income to operate this function?

ReplyDeleteWhat kind of service are you going to provide? Diagnose or treatment to sick pet or both services? I think it will be practicable to provide both services since sick pet's owners lack financial ability. Your Marketing plan may need focus on how to get donations from the society to keep the organization running and marketing strategies for your services.

ReplyDeleteThat is a smart idea! People should have responsible for their pets, but surly there are a lot of pets owners do not think about that much. When they want to have a pet, they just go buy or adopt one. However, when they have a financial problem, they just make their pets become homeless.

This is a great idea! There are countless owners out there who can't afford the expense for their pets.. Therefore, I feel like many people will appreciate this non-profit organization!!! I was wondering what kind of services will you guys be providing? Also, how many times can the same person go to the organization for help? Keep in mind, that some people will take advantage of the business therefore, I think there should be certain"qualification" before any one can use the service. (For example, proofs of ones income..or pet's severely level?)
ReplyDeleteThis is a really great idea! Owning a pet is a lot of responsibility and it's very costly. Maybe your organization could also give lessons on how to be a better pet owner.
ReplyDeleteBeing a pet owner, I can really relate to the costliness an animal can be and how much is involved with being a pet owner. This is a great idea considering the economic times we are experiencing. The idea of providing little to no cost animal services will be very appealing to people of low income.

I agree with Katheryn and am concerned that some people might take advantage of your cause and I am interested in seeing how your group will set apart those who will benefit from your cause and those who will not get the chance to be helped.
ReplyDeleteI think this is not only a great plan , but an extremely needed one. There are so many animals that are taken to humane societies or left on the streets because their owners are unable to care for them. Providing resources that can assist families will not only save one of their loved ones, but help with on going issue of stray animals.
ReplyDeleteMy initial thought is how awesome this is! Having had a few pets myself , it is easy to relate to the hardships of taking care of a sick animal. People are quick to take care of a cute puppy until they start having to make vet appointments for the associated vaccinations.Giving people a course of action can help reduce the number of unwanted pets going back to kennels and/or pounds and offer domesticated animals a good chance at a safe and happy home.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. There are many animals left on the street because theire owners cannot afford to keep them. Threfore, people will appriciate these kind of organization, and also it is good for animals as well.

ReplyDeleteAs a pet owner I have first-hand experience of how costly vet expenses can get. I'm interested to see how you will develop this not-for-profit business. Will you be developing an organization that provides direct care for pets, an organization that provides financial support to the pet owners, or an organization that connects financially strapped pet owners to low-cost veterinary service?
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I don't have pet, but I have heard that it is very expensive to keeping a pet. Pet owner has their responsibility to take care their pet, so this non-profit organization could be very helpful.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good idea because getting medical care for a pet is very expensive, which results in many pets having to be "put down" because the families cannot afford to pay for the necessary procedures. This would be a very helpful organization.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! Even though I don't have a pet, I do think a pet owner cares about his or her pet's health a lot. But actually not everyone can pay for the treatments for the pets because these treatment might be very expensive. And I have met pet owners who could not afford the treatments for their pets, so I understand how they feel. I believe this idea will help these pet owners a lot.

ReplyDeleteI am aware that most of the people who keep their pet don't have certain knowledge to do, because I have seen many owners keep their animals with their egos such as keeping them in the cage, treating them only when they want... Giving right information for the animals' owner is great idea!
ReplyDeleteI really think that having a pet really cost a lot. I remember that one of my friend used to have a new born kitty, and he spent almost 5000 dollars pet medical bill after he sent the kitty to emergency( the kitty passed away). I still don't understand how can it cost that much here...
ReplyDeleteThis seems like one of those ideas that is desperately needed yet extremely difficult to find sufficient financial backing. Its crazy how much it costs to take care of pet outside the initial purchases of the pet itself, its housing, and food. The most frustrating part should be cleaning after it not keeping it alive. Its almost as if animal care providers are taking advantage of pet owners in deciding how much it should cost for a given procedure. I understand that an operation can be costly but something like this would definitely be well received by the pet owning community
ReplyDeleteI really like this idea, i am a huge animal lover always have been. I have a dog that my parents got my in middle school, but once i moved away to go to college i had to leave him behind with my parents because i was gonna be in an apartment. After my first year i moved into a house but i still could not take my dog down with me because i knew i could not afford it. But with a program like this i could finally bring my buddy down here to live with me!
